Webmistress

Pauline, also known as Misty, is a 24 year old woman residing in western Canada. Highly paranoid, pessimistic, and stubborn—all of which are charactersitics of a Virgo—Pauline is your average first generation Canadian-born Chinese with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. She has a certain affinity to anime and manga, as suggested by her involvement in anime-related websites and communities. Her online presence extends back to 1999, but now she has claimed a little corner of the Internet with her collective, Frozen-Wings.net.

In addition to Pauline's interest in web and graphic design, she is addicted to manga scanlations. Her current obsessions: Bleach and Skip Beat. She is also a fan of Fruits Basket, Rurouni Kenshin, and Charmed (the TV series). When she's not on the computer, Pauline is a klutz with a big appetite and a love for reading. Her favourites include the In Death series by J.D. Robb, Nora Roberts, Julie Garwood, Kerrelyn Sparks, and Touched by an Angel. Pauline is no stranger when it comes to being talkative, unladylike, and a procrastinator.

Web Designing

I became interested in web designing at the age of 14 when I was taking a high school computer programming course. Thereafter, I began experimenting with a variety of web tools, such as Geocities PageBuilder, and graphic programs, such as Adobe Photoshop. As time went on and my skills improved, I realize that it was time to expand. Not only have I purchased the Frozen-Wings Network as my collective, I created a number of anime and manga related websites, and co-own a webpage review.

Recently, I have decided to take my web designing skills a little further by offering my services as a paid freelance web and graphic designer. My portfolio is located at Divine&Serene, which consists of commissioned commerical and non-commercial projects.
